Relax in your comfortable vehicle as he transports you to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi Town, Tanzania’s self-proclaimed “safari capital.” On your way to the hotel, you’ll get a taste of this large, bustling commercial city. Your pre-safari briefing may take place today, depending on your arrival time; if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning.
The excursion departs after breakfast. The first destination is Arusha Town, where we will make any last-minute purchases before departing on the safari. Following that, we travel to Tarangire National Park for a wildlife drive and picnic lunch. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population and its baobab trees. It is the focal point of an annual migration of up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Ngorongoro farm house.
After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver and driven to Lake Manyara National Park for a wildlife drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife locations, with a vast but shallow soda lake (encompassing two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse ecology draws a broad range of species, including one of Africa’s greatest populations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s distinctive tree-climbing lions, and vast flocks of flamingos drawn to the lake’s algae.
Late afternoon transfer to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.
Today is the day to connect with the Bushmen, the Hadzabe Tribe, who hunt with bows and arrows and harvest roots, tubers, and wild fruits in groups, much like humans did in the Stone Age. We’ll take a close look at how they continue to thrive, how they adapt to their harsh environment, and the hurdles they encounter in order to maintain their nomadic lifestyle. The Datoga tribe are blacksmiths, a centuries-old craft that is still conducted in much the same way today. They create Hadzabe arrowheads and brass ornaments, some of which will be sold by the creator himself. Late afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro farmhouse
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after breakfast. You will descend almost 600 meters into the crater to see animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a diverse population of species, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and enormous African elephants. Another major lure to this scenic national park is its rich predator population, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes needs a skilled eye to identify. We will go to Lake Magadi, a big but shallow alkaline lake in the crater’s southwestern corner that is one of the crater’s principal characteristics. Flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl are frequently spotted here. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena or Sopa Lodge
After breakfast, head for the Serengeti National Park. We will make a stop at Olduvai Gorge, which has a history reaching back to the beginning of time. The skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both highly important links in the chain of human development, were found here by anthropologists Dr. Lois and Mary Leakey. Do a game drive in Serengeti and overnight at the heart of Serengeti Seronera Kati Kati tented Camp
Full-day Serengeti National Park game drive including following the wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.
After an early breakfast, have a morning game drive, followed by a game en way to the north Serengeti. Check out of the park at Klein’s gate, then transfer to Lake Natron for an early dinner and overnight stay. If time allows, take a sunset walk around Lake Natron. Dinner and overnight at Lake Natron tented camp.
Oldoinyo Lengai, night ascent and morning summit bid (seismic conditions permitting). Hike to a waterfall and swim if desired ( Depending on what time your flight is leaving). After transfer to Arusha/Moshi for airport drop off or overnight
